Town of
Caneadea

The Caneadea Boosters are looking for volunteers to help install the 911 Emergency signs and posts. Click on News for more information.

Though small in population and size, Caneadea is great in the diversity of its residents. The Genesee River flows through the center of our township with two small hamlets, a college community, a portion of Rushford Lake on its west side and acres of forests and farm lands to its east. These areas are home to young families and retirees, to white collars and blue collars, to city folks and country folks, and to those of various cultural and ethnic heritages. This diversity over the years is the heart of the Caneadea narrative.

We invite you to explore the events, locations, and characters of our history which we are confident you will find both interesting and informative. At the same time, take a moment to meet the good people who call Caneadea home. They are the bridge from the past to the future and they are what make the Town of Caneadea the great place it is today.

Sincerely,

Phillip G. Stockin

Supervisor
